Karen Thompson and Scott Smith will be presenting at the 21ST ANNUAL KENTUCKY ENVIRONMENTAL PERMITTING AND REPORTING CONFERENCE on August 14 and 15, 2018.
Scott, one of our Senior Consultants, will be providing two presentations during the conference. On August 14th, he will be giving a presentation on Secondary Impacts and Unintended Consequences of SIP Revisions, which is an overview of the State Implementation Plans (SIPs) for Criteria Air Pollutants (CAPs) and how upcoming changes to those SIPs can impact your business in addition to the obvious targeted industries. He will review changes in the implementation procedures for the National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) for CAPs. Later that same day, Scott will be part of a panel discussion on Triennial Review an Important Building Block for Your KPDES Limits. This presentation will review the proposed changes to the Chapter 5 Kentucky Water Quality regulations related to the KPDES program and the proposed changes to the Chapter 10 Kentucky Water Quality Standards regulations and how these regulations coordinate and interact together.
Karen Thompson, Manager of Environmental Services, will be presenting with Greg Hamm, Veolia, on E-Manifesting: How is It Working?. The E-Manifesting launch in June 2018. Since the program is designed to be enforced through the TSDF, the presentation will be provided from the TSDF facility perspective to provide Generators with information of how the system is working in practice. Time will be given for questions and answers on specific areas concerning transport, paper manifests vs. e-manifests, storage and retrieval of information, records for inspection, how to change errors on manifests, and end of the year reporting.
